Algebra Week of 5-5-2008

Monday:  AIA Slope Project II Due and Take Assessment

Goal:  Students will use slope to find the roads leading to the enemy camps, note the roads as linear equations, and create a false path for the enemy to follow.

  • Students will have some time to complete the entire project.
  • Students will take the assessment that indicates they are knowledgeable about using the codes and equations.
  • Lesson 7-4 Discussion about Scatter Plots.
    • Students will explain the graph using the labels given in the scatter plot.

Tuesday:  AIA Project III Families of Linear Graphs & Parallel and perpendicular lines.

Goal:  Students will graph Linear Equations, Find Families of Linear Graphs, and write lines that are parallel and perpendicular.

  • Students will start by graphing several linear equations
  • Students will identify enemy locations by finding where three or more lines intersect.
  • Students will graph these lines and find parallel and perpendicular lines that go with them

Wednesday:  AIA Project III Families of Linear Graphs & Parallel and perpendicular lines.

Goal:  Students will graph Linear Equations, Find Families of Linear Graphs, and write lines that are parallel and perpendicular.
