Monday: No School Memorial Day
Tuesday: Post-view AIA Project III & Chapter 7 Assessment
Goal: Understand the ins and outs of linear equations.
- Students have had the Projects Passed back last Friday, and will have the Chapter 7 Test passed back today.
- Explain the assessment was not graded as a right/wrong grade, but as an assessment of understanding.
- Students will have this week to demonstrate understanding of the material in the chapter 7 test.
- Students will work on completing the AIA Project III fully by using the resources in the classroom.
- Students will be allowed to formulate questions on sticky notes to help drive the lessons for the week.
Wednesday: Sticky Note Lessons
Goal: Students will understand the inner-workings of linear equations.
- Sticky Note Examples;
- Class examples based off of the sticky note questions given in the work time.
- Students will have this week to demonstrate understaning of the material in the chapter 7 test.
- Students will work on completing the AIA Project III fully by using the resources in the classroom.

Goal: Multiplying and dividing monomials, and simplifying expressions involving powers of monomials.
Wednesday: Lesson 8-5 Adding and Subtracting Polynomials
Goal: Add and Subtract polynomials by lining up the appropriate terms.
Thursday: Lesson 8-6 multiplying a Monomial by a Polynomial
Goal: Students use distributive property to multiply a monomial by a polynomial.
Friday: Quiz on Chapter 8 Lessons 8-1, 2, 5, & 6

Monday: Finish AIA Project III “Intersecting Lines”
Goal: Students will write equations to lines parallel and perpendicular to other linear equations.
- Complete project dealing with families of graphs, parallel lines, and perpendicular lines.
- Start a Chapter 7 Review to prepare for the assessment.
Tuesday: Project Wrap-up and Review for Chapter 7 Assessment
Goal: Students will write equations to lines parallel and perpendicular to other linear equations.
- Finalize AIA Project and turn it in.
- Class Examples on writing equations that are parallel and perpendicular
- Students that do not have Lesson 7-4 Scatter Plot page will receive it.
- Class work time on Chapter 7 Practice Assessment
Wednesday: Review for Chapter 7 Assessment
Goal: Students will write equations in slope intercept form by understanding slope and the y-intercept. Students will also be able to evaluate scatter plots and lines of best fit.
- Students will prepare for the chapter 7 Assessment with partners.
Thursday: Review and Start Chapter 7 Assessment
- 5-Minute Check over Chapter 7
- Class Review Questions
- Start Chapter 7 Assessment
- Notes and calculators can be used on the assessment
- Students can review at home by taking the Chapter 7 Practice Test Online
